Doha, April 19 (QNA) - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) launched today an initiative to insource Qatari trainers in educational and training service centers.
The initiative was introduced by the Educational Services Centers Department under the Private Education Affairs sector, with the aim of supporting national talent and strengthening its presence in the training and continuing education sector.
The launch event was attended by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater; HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi; and Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs at the Ministry Omar Abdulaziz Al Naama, along with a number of ministry officials, owners of educational centers, and Qatari trainers.
Speaking at a press conference held on the occasion, Director of the Educational Services Centers Department at the Ministry Iman Ali Al Nuaimi, affirmed that the initiative comes in response to the rapid growth witnessed by private educational and training service centers, and reflects a commitment to empowering Qatari trainers and developing their professional capabilities. She noted that the initiative aims to enhance the quality of training outcomes and strengthen the country's sustainable learning ecosystem, in alignment with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
Al Nuaimi revealed a remarkable response from national talent, with 121 Qatari trainers registered under the initiative. Women accounted for 80.2 percent of participants, compared to 19.8 percent men.
She also highlighted the diversity of professional experience among participants, noting that more than 9 percent have over 20 years of experience, while the remainder possess between 5 and 20 years of experience across various specialized fields.
She explained that the training areas covered by the initiative include entrepreneurship, human development, creative thinking and problem-solving, time and stress management, leadership, and effective communication skills, vital specializations directly linked to the needs of Qatar's labor market.
Regarding implementation mechanisms, the Director stated that registered trainers will undergo interviews to obtain accredited licenses and permits to work in educational and training centers. A list of licensed trainers will then be circulated to these centers, with follow-up measures to ensure their engagement in delivering training programs.
She emphasized that this step represents a fundamental pillar in strengthening the role of national cadres in supporting the knowledge-based economy and building a society grounded in lifelong learning. (QNA)
