QF Schools Foster Safe, Supportive Learning to Prioritize Student Wellbeing
Doha, April 18 (QNA) - Qatar Foundation (QF) said schools within its Pre-University Education ecosystem continue to foster a stable and supportive learning environment, placing student wellbeing and reassurance at the heart of the educational experience.
In a statement, QF said, "Across the schools, leaders are focused on balancing operational readiness with psychological and emotional support, helping students feel comfortable and integrated within the school environment, while encouraging positive interaction and active participation".
"At Qatar Leadership Academy (QLA), this approach is evident in strong engagement levels and community confidence, with student attendance reaching 91 percent," the statement added.
Director General of QLA Jameel Al Shammari said: "We have observed positive engagement from our students over the past days, with clear enthusiasm to be present in the learning environment and connect with their peers and teachers. We have ensured that this experience supports their emotional wellbeing by providing a stable environment that fosters a sense of belonging and confidence within the academy".
Similarly, Qatar Academy Msheireb (QAM) continues to prioritize the wellbeing of its school community, with attendance reaching 91 percent.
Director of QAM Lina Mouchantaf said: "At our academy, we are committed to building an environment where students feel comfortable and reassured, which is reflected in their positive engagement in the classroom. We encourage listening to students and providing space for them to express themselves, as we believe their mental wellbeing is the foundation of a balanced learning experience".
Director of Qatar Academy Al Khor Dr. Aisha Al Maqbali said: "We are committed to fostering a supportive and flexible learning environment, ensuring every student feels part of a cohesive community that supports them both academically and emotionally".
Director of Academyati Elizabeth Kennedy emphasized: "As our students return to school, we have approached this phase with a sense of calm and responsibility, placing the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff at the forefront of our priorities. We have ensured that all our decisions are carefully considered to provide a stable learning environment that supports students in all circumstances".
Director of Awsaj Academy William Vue said: "At Awsaj Academy, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels comfortable expressing themselves. We have observed positive engagement among students, supported by dedicated teams that continuously respond to their needs".
