Death Toll from Israeli Aggression on Lebanon Rises to 2,196

Beirut, April 16 (QNA) - Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health announced on Thursday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli Aggression on the country since March 2 has risen to 2,196, with 7,185 injured.

The ministry's Emergency Operations Center said in a statement that several people were killed and injured in a series of airstrikes and artillery shelling carried out by Israeli forces across multiple areas in Lebanon, bringing the overall casualty figures to 2,196 dead and 7,185 wounded.

Earlier, the ministry reported that nine civilians were killed, and six others injured in two Israeli airstrikes targeting the town of Shahebiya in Tyre district of southern Lebanon. It also said that one person was killed in a strike on a vehicle on Dahr al-Baydar road linking Beirut and Damascus. (QNA)
