London, April 12 (QNA) - Liverpool defeated Fulham 2-0 today in their match in the 32nd round of the English Premier League.

Liverpool's two goals were scored by Rio Ngumoha and Mohamed Salah in the 36th and 40th minutes, respectively.

The win lifted Liverpool, the defending champions, to 52 points in fifth place, temporarily extending the gap to four points over sixth-placed Chelsea in the fight for Champions League football next season. Fulham remained on 44 points in 11th place.

Liverpool's victory came after a run of three matches in which they lost twice and drew once. They are set to host Paris Saint-Germain in three days in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, after losing the first leg 2-0. (QNA)
