Kuwait, April 10 (QNA) - Kuwait expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the malicious attacks that targeted vital facilities in the country, describing them as a blatant violation of its sovereignty and airspace, and a clear breach of international law, international humanitarian law, and the UN Charter.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the continued blatant attacks carried out by Iran and its proxies against Kuwait and countries in the region undermine regional and international efforts that recently led to the announcement of a ceasefire between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and represent a direct challenge to the international community.

The ministry stressed the need to compel Iran and its proxies to immediately and unconditionally cease all hostile acts directed at Kuwait and other countries in the region, in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026.

It also reaffirmed Kuwait’s full and inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter and its commitment to taking all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability. (QNA)
