Kuwait, April 01 (QNA) - Kuwait International Airport was hit early Wednesday by drone attacks targeting its fuel storage facilities, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Kuwait announced.
Abdullah Al Rajhi, the directorate's official spokesperson, said that Kuwait International Airport was subjected to blatant attacks by drones from Iran and Iran-backed armed groups, targeting fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport belonging to the Kuwait Aviation Fueling Company (KAFCO), which led to a large fire breaking out at the site.
Al Rajhi added that the blatant attacks caused significant damage to KAFCO's fuel tanks. Emergency teams and relevant authorities responded immediately, and initial reports indicate the damage is material only, with no human casualties. (QNA)
