Doha, March 09 (QNA) - The Ministry of Interior (MOI) urged visitors to markets and shopping malls to adhere to a set of safety guidelines in the event of receiving precautionary alerts or national warning messages, stressing the importance of awareness and proper behavior to maintain everyone's safety.

In its public awareness guidelines through its official X account, the MOI pointed out the need to take seriously the alert messages or national warning notifications, and to adhere to the instructions issued by them, as they are preventive measures aimed at protecting individuals and regulating the handling of emergency situations.

The MOI stressed the importance of staying inside the building when an explosion is heard or national alert messages are issued, while maintaining calm and waiting for official instructions until the danger has passed. The ministry urged for avoiding being in open areas and heading immediately to the nearest safe building, while staying away from windows and glass facades to ensure safety.

The ministry emphasized the importance of knowing in advance the emergency exits and evacuation routes within markets and shopping malls, which contributes to a quick response when needed, in addition to using stairs and emergency exits during evacuation and avoiding the use of elevators.

It stressed the need to avoid crowding and to adhere to orderly movement to safe areas, in order to ensure everyone's safety and prevent injuries.

The MOI stressed the need to avoid approaching unknown objects or shrapnel fragments, to immediately report any suspicious object to private security personnel, to refrain from photographing incidents or security procedures, and to fully cooperate with private security personnel and adhere to their instructions.
