Ministry of Defense Intercepts 6 Ballistic Missiles, 2 Cruise Missiles without Casualties

Doha, March 08 (QNA) - The Ministry of Defense announced today that the State of Qatar was subjected Saturday, to an attack involving 10 ballistic missiles and two cruise missiles launched from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a statement, the ministry said that the armed forces successfully intercepted six ballistic missiles, while two ballistic missiles fell in Qatar’s territorial waters, and two others landed in an uninhabited area without causing any casualties. The armed forces also intercepted two cruise missiles.

The ministry stressed that the Qatari Armed Forces possess the full capabilities and resources to protect and safeguard the sovereignty and territory of the state and to firmly confront any external threat.

It also called on citizens, residents, and visitors to remain calm, follow the instructions issued by security authorities, avoid rumors, and rely only on statements and information issued by official sources. (QNA)
