Iraq, France Discuss Regional Developments, Efforts to De-escalate Tensions
Baghdad, March 6 (QNA) – Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the importance of working to prevent the war from escalating and to mitigate its repercussions on the region.
During a phone call, the Iraqi Prime Minister stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to halt military operations.
He indicated that the international community, its institutions, and organizations must work to stop the war and prevent further escalation, and condemn the targeting and displacement occurring in Lebanon, in order to preserve the region's stability and development.
For his part, the French President emphasized the necessity of prioritizing dialogue, diplomacy, and negotiation in resolving any international or regional problem. He stressed the importance of joint action to prevent the war from escalating and to reduce its repercussions on the countries of the region. (QNA)
