Egyptian Foreign Minister, Lebanese Prime Minister Discuss Israeli Aggression on Lebanon
Cairo, March 6 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed developments in Lebanon in a phone call today with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
The discussions focused on the dire consequences of the escalating refugee crisis resulting from Israeli attacks on Lebanon, as well as the latest regional developments amid the current dangerous military escalation and its expanding scope.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated in a press release today that the call addressed the current situation in Lebanon, including the ongoing refugee crisis, the urgent needs of the Lebanese people, and ways to address them immediately.
In this context, the Egyptian Foreign Minister reiterated his country's full solidarity with Lebanon during this critical time, emphasizing Egypt's categorical rejection of any targeting of Lebanon's sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and the well-being of its people.
Abdelatty also affirmed Egypt's commitment to continuing its tireless efforts to support Lebanese state institutions and extend their authority over all Lebanese national territory, support the Lebanese army's efforts in this regard and to control weapons, and work to mobilize the necessary support to alleviate suffering, in parallel with intensifying diplomatic efforts to stop the current escalation, given its serious repercussions on the security and stability of Lebanon.
