Abu Dhabi, March 05 (QNA) - HH President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a series of phone calls on Thursday with several world leaders to discuss the serious military and security developments in the region and their potential impact on regional and global stability.

During a call with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, both leaders discussed the escalating military situation and condemned Iranian attacks targeting Azerbaijani territory.

The UAE president reaffirmed his country's solidarity with Azerbaijan and it’s right to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the leaders stressed the need for an immediate halt to escalation and called for resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomatic means.

The UAE President also received calls from the prime ministers of the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands.

During the conversations, the leaders condemned Iran's attacks on the UAE and several countries in the region, describing them as serious violations of national sovereignty and international law.

They emphasized the urgent need to stop military escalation to prevent a wider conflict and to return to diplomatic efforts to address ongoing disputes. (QNA)
