Russia Expresses Readiness to Play Active Role in Middle East Peace Process
Moscow, March 5 (QNA) - Russia on Thursday expressed readiness to play an active role in preserving the Middle East peace process and reducing escalation and tensions.
Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu voiced, in remarks, his country's readiness to play an active role in the Middle East peace process, noting Moscow's ongoing communication with the Gulf states and Iran.
He pointed out that the world is facing extremely serious repercussions that will continue to affect life, explaining that their impact will not be limited to the Middle East region alone, but will extend to the entire world, encompassing energy, food, liquefied natural gas, oil, logistics, and other economic sectors.
Tensions in the Middle East region have been steadily escalating following the military strikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iran last Saturday. (QNA)
