HH the Amir Receives Phone Call from Prime Minister of Spain

Doha, March 5 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received on Thursday a phone call from HE Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, Pedro Sanchez.

At the beginning of the call, the Spanish Prime Minister expressed his country's solidarity with the State of Qatar in the face of the brutal Iranian aggression. He affirmed Spain's condemnation of these military actions that threaten the security and sovereignty of nations, and commended the efforts of the State of Qatar in promoting peace and dialogue. He also praised the role played by Qatari diplomacy in supporting peaceful solutions at the regional and international levels.

HE the Spanish Prime Minister further affirmed his country's support for the State of Qatar in confronting any threats to its security and stability. He stressed the importance of taking immediate action to halt military operations and contain the escalation through diplomatic means to preserve the security and stability of the region.

For his part, HH the Amir reassured about the well-being of the Spanish community residing in Qatar, emphasizing that they are receiving his full attention and care, and expressing his appreciation for HE the Prime Minister's support and solidarity with the State of Qatar and its people.

During the call, they exchanged views on the latest developments in the region, with both sides stressing the importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions and adhering to the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations to strengthen peace and security at both the regional and international levels.
