Saudi Foreign Minister, Canadian Counterpart Discuss Regional, International Developments
Riyadh, March 30 (QNA) - Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met Monday with his Canadian counterpart, Anita Anand, who is currently visiting Saudi Arabia, to discuss the latest regional and international developments and their impact on the region, as well as efforts to support stability and security.
Both sides called on Iran to immediately cease its attacks and respect international law, international humanitarian law, and the principles of good neighborliness.
They stressed the necessity of Iran's compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026).
They affirmed the close cooperation between the two countries to enhance regional stability and protect civilians amidst the ongoing conflict affecting the Gulf states and the Middle East. In this regard, they stressed the need for concerted international efforts to reduce tensions, strengthen maritime and energy security, and protect vital infrastructure.
The two ministers also reviewed ways to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries in all fields, especially priority areas, including trade, investment, space, artificial intelligence, mining, tourism, education, and pharmaceutical industries. (QNA)
