Islamabad, March 30 (QNA) - Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stressed the need for coordinated efforts to urgently end ongoing hostilities in the region.
Speaking during a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Sharif said the hostilities have caused significant losses in lives, economies, and property across several Islamic countries.
He reaffirmed Pakistan's firm commitment to playing a positive role in bringing the United States and Iran to the negotiating table to help end the conflict in the region.
The Egyptian and Turkish foreign ministers briefed Sharif on their countries' perspectives regarding the ongoing hostilities in the Middle East.
A day earlier, Islamabad hosted a four-party ministerial meeting aimed at containing the crisis in the Middle East. The meeting was attended by Pakistan's Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Participants discussed regional developments and coordination efforts, emphasizing the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to contain the crisis and enhance regional security and stability. (QNA)
