Doha, March 30 (QNA) - The Attorney Admission Committee, chaired by HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, convened on Monday to discuss items on the agenda.

Upon rounding out their training period, five new attorneys were sworn in before the committee, which mulled over the applications for registration of several practitioners on the roll of active attorneys who had completed their training.

In addition, the panel weighed in on the requests to transfer the registration of two attorneys from the provisional list to the roll of practicing attorneys before the Court of Appeal.

It discussed an array of regulatory matters that pertain to the legal profession, including subcommittee minutes, as well as the Attorney Affairs Department's pitch on trial advocate regulations. As such, the panel took the appropriate decisions accordingly.

HE Al Mohannadi congratulated the new attorneys, underscoring that the committee is committed to having a conducive legal environment in place to help them undertake their missions in serving society.

Adhering to the training programs of the Ministry's Center for Legal and Judicial Studies matters most in this respect, the Minister suggested, affirming that this would help hone legal skills and practitioners' competency, thereby deepening a sophisticated justice system in the State of Qatar.
