Rome, March 3 (QNA) - Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni described the Iranian attacks on Gulf states as "completely unjustified," stressing that the situation cannot improve unless Tehran halts its actions.
In remarks on the escalating tensions, Meloni said that following the failure of efforts to reach an agreement with Iran over its nuclear program, the United States and Israel launched strikes without the involvement of their European partners.
She emphasized that de-escalation would remain unlikely unless Iran ceases its attacks against Gulf states, reiterating that such actions are unjustifiable.
Meloni added that Italy remains in contact with the affected Gulf countries as well as with its European partners in efforts to address the situation. (QNA)
