Egypt, Oman Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments
Cairo, March 03 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a telephone call today with his Omani counterpart Badr Al Busaidi and discussed the latest developments regionally in light of the serious and rapid developments taking place in the region.
During the call, the two ministers exchanged views on ways to coordinate joint efforts to contain the current situation, stressing the importance of all parties exercising maximum restraint, prioritizing dialogue and political and diplomatic solutions, and fully adhering to the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter to ensure the restoration of stability and prevent the expansion of military confrontation in the region.
In this context, Badr Abdelatty stressed the need for serious work to reduce escalation and tension, warning of the catastrophic repercussions of the entire region sliding into total chaos.
He also affirmed his country’s full solidarity with the Sultanate of Oman and all sisterly Arab countries in the face of the recent attacks, and Egypt's firm support for the sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity of Arab countries. (QNA)
