Bahrain Condemns Iranian Attacks on US Embassy in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait
Manama, March 03 (QNA) - The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed today its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian attacks on the US embassy buildings in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the Iranian attacks on the two embassy buildings were a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, particularly the 1949 Geneva Conventions and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which guarantee full immunity for diplomatic buildings, missions and their staff even in cases of armed conflict.
The Kingdom of Bahrain affirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait, and its complete support for the measures they would take to preserve their sovereignty, maintain their security and stability, and protect their territories, citizens, and residents, based on the unity of the Gulf ranks and their common destiny, stressing that the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries was indivisible.
The ministry also renewed its call to the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop these attacks that threaten regional and international peace and security. (QNA)
