Arab League Calls for Firmer International Stance on Iranian Attacks
Cairo, March 29 (QNA) - The Arab League called on Sunday for an immediate halt to Iranian attacks against Arab states, in line with UN Security Council Resolution 2817, and urged an end to threats disrupting navigation through Strait of Hormuz.
The League said the Iranian attacks, including threats to freedom of navigation, constitute a threat to international peace and security, requiring a firmer stance that reflects the international consensus rejecting what it described as Tehran's coercive practices.
The remarks were made by Ahmed Aboul Gheit during a ministerial-level meeting of the Arab League Council in its 165th regular session, held on Sunday via videoconference, which addressed the targeting of the safety and sovereignty of Arab states subjected to Iranian attacks. (QNA)
