Kuwait City, March 28 (QNA) - Kuwait Fire Force announced that its teams, supported by the Kuwait Army, National Guard, and Oil Sector firefighting units, extinguished the fire that broke out in fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport following an attack by hostile drones. Firefighting operations lasted for 58 continuous hours.
Director of Public Relations and Media and the official spokesperson for the Kuwait Fire Force, Brigadier General Mohammad Al Gharib, said during a briefing on Saturday on the latest field developments amid the Iranian aggression against Kuwait that the damage was limited to material losses, with no human injuries reported.
He added that since the start of the aggression, the Fire Force responded to 82 unusual incidents, including fires caused by debris or direct targeting, in addition to carrying out readiness tasks and securing sites across the country.
He noted that over the past 24 hours, the Fire Force continued to manage fires resulting from direct attacks by hostile drones or missiles, or from falling debris after air defenses intercepted projectiles targeting vital facilities during the unlawful Iranian aggression. (QNA)
