Beirut, March 26 (QNA) - Germany has expressed readiness to provide Lebanon with diplomatic and humanitarian support following a phone call between President Joseph Aoun and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

According to the Lebanese presidency, the German President reaffirmed his country's solidarity with Lebanon amid ongoing regional military tensions and signaled willingness to assist across multiple sectors to ease the humanitarian situation.

He also voiced support for Aoun's negotiation initiative aimed at de-escalation, noting that Germany is prepared to contribute and will dispatch urgent humanitarian aid to displaced civilians affected by the violence.

For his part, the Lebanese President expressed appreciation for Germany's backing of Lebanon and its presidential initiative, as well as the planned humanitarian and medical assistance for the Lebanese people. (QNA)
