Firefighters Tackle Fuel Tank Blaze at Kuwait Airport after Drone Attack
Kuwait City, March 25 (QNA) - Emergency crews continued efforts on Wednesday to contain a fire that broke out in fuel storage tanks at Kuwait International Airport after it was targeted by hostile drones earlier in the day.
Kuwait's Fire Force said its teams, supported by units from the army, National Guard and oil sector, were still dealing with the blaze, which erupted in the early hours of the morning.
Spokesman Brigadier Mohammed Al Gharib said crews had already extinguished four separate fires at different locations caused by debris from intercepted missiles and drones.
He added that the force had responded to 82 unusual incidents since the start of Iranian attacks, including fires caused by falling debris, direct strikes, and precautionary operations across the country.
Earlier, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said a drone strike had hit a fuel tank at the airport, triggering the fire. (QNA)
