Egyptian Foreign Minister, Senior US Presidential Advisor Discuss Regional Developments

Cairo, March 25 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed the latest developments in the military escalation in the region with Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos during a phone call on Wednesday.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated in a press release that the call addressed Egypt's tireless efforts to achieve de-escalation and support regional security and stability in connection with the Iranian file, commended its pivotal role in containing crises and addressing the escalating regional challenges, as well as its efforts to open channels of communication that contribute to de-escalation and mediation efforts.

In this context, the Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed the necessity of concerted regional and international actions to reduce escalation and prevent further descent into chaos in the region. He pointed to the severe economic repercussions of the ongoing war on the global economy, including the impact on international shipping, supply chains, oil and food prices, and inflation. (QNA)
