Doha, March 25 (QNA) - Al Arabi retained the Qatar Handball League title for the 2025-2026 season, marking their second consecutive title and fourth overall.

Al Arabi secured the title despite a 26-25 loss to Al Rayyan on Wednesday in the penultimate round (17th) of the competition.

Al Arabi benefited from Al Duhail's 29-26 defeat to Al Ahli in the same round.

Al Arabi maintained their lead in the standings with 49 points, four points ahead of second-placed Al Duhail, before the final round (18th), where Al Arabi will be officially crowned champions and receive the league shield.

Al Rayyan, meanwhile, increased their points tally to 41, remaining in third place, behind Al Duhail, who stayed in second place with 45 points.

In the other matches played today, Al Sadd defeated Qatar SC 24-22, bringing their total to 35 points and securing fourth place. Qatar SC remained in ninth place with 25 points.

Al Wakrah defeated Al Khor 34-31, raising their total to 32 points and placing them fifth, level on points with Al Ahli in sixth place but ahead on goal difference. Al Khor remained in seventh place with 29 points.

Al Gharafa also defeated Al Shamal 30-24, bringing their total to 28 points and placing them eighth. Al Shamal remained in tenth place with 24 points.
