Kuwait: Seven Hostile Drones Detected in Airspace in Past 24 Hours
Kuwait City, March 22 (QNA) - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense reported that its forces had detected seven drones over the past 24 hours inside the country's airspace.
The Ministry added that it had successfully intercepted and vaporized four of them, while the three projectiles fell beyond the threat zone without posing any danger.
The Ministry's spokesperson, Col. Saud Al Atwan, said the loud explosion sounds reported in parts of the country were the result of air defense engagements and intercept operations against hostile drones, alongside the measures being undertaken by the Inspection and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel within their field functions.
On Saturday, the Ministry announced that it had tracked nine hostile ballistic missiles inside the airspace, with air defense systems successfully intercepting them without causing any material damage. (QNA)
