Kuwait City, March 02 (QNA) - HE Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, renewed his country's condemnation of Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, affirming its right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
Speaking on Sunday while leading Kuwait's delegation at the 50th extraordinary meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, held via videoconference, the minister said Kuwait would take all necessary and legitimate measures proportionate to the nature and scale of the aggression.
He described the attacks as a blatant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty and airspace, and a clear breach of international law, international humanitarian law, and the United Nations Charter.
Sheikh Jarrah expressed appreciation for the solidarity shown by brotherly and friendly countries, reaffirming Kuwait's full support for fellow states targeted in the attacks and backing any measures taken to safeguard their sovereignty, security, and stability.
He also stressed that the security of GCC member states is indivisible, warning that any infringement on the sovereignty of one member constitutes a direct threat to collective Gulf security. (QNA)
