Manama, March 02 (QNA) - Bahrain said its air defense systems had successfully intercepted dozens of Iranian missiles and drones targeting the country.
In a statement, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force said a total of 61 missiles and 34 drones were intercepted and brought down. It added that all defense systems remain on maximum alert to respond swiftly and decisively to any threat.
The statement described the use of ballistic missiles and drones against civilian sites and private property as a grave violation of international humanitarian law, particularly the principles of distinction and proportionality. It said the attacks posed a direct threat to regional peace and security.
Bahrain also reaffirmed its legitimate right to take all necessary measures to defend its sovereignty and security. (QNA)
