Iraq: Drone Shot Down Near Baghdad International Airport
Baghdad, March 13 (QNA) – An Iraqi security source announced Friday that a drone attempting to target the Diplomatic Support Center near Baghdad International Airport was shot down.
The source stated that a drone attempted to approach the perimeter of the Diplomatic Support Center, formerly known as Camp Victory, at Baghdad International Airport. It was intercepted and shot down without casualties.
In a related incident, a security source in Nineveh Governorate announced Friday that an unidentified drone crashed east of Mosul in northern Iraq. The incident resulted in no casualties, and the damage was minor at the crash site.
It is worth noting that Baghdad International Airport has witnessed several similar attacks in recent days. (QNA)
