Al Shamal, Al Duhail, Qatar SC Secure Victories in Qatari League

Doha, March 13 (QNA) - Al Shamal edged Al Wakrah 1-0 on Thursday at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in the 18th round of the Doha Bank Stars League.

Pau Prim scored the decisive goal for Al Shamal in the second minute of stoppage time. The win brought Al Shamal to 34 points in the second spot, while Al Wakrah remained in eighth place with 23 points. Al Wakrah played the final minutes with 10 men after Ridouane Barkane was sent off with a red card in the 82nd minute.

At Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, Al Duhail defeated Al Sailiya 4-0. Krzysztof Piatek scored twice, while Benjamin Bourigeaud and Ibrahima Bamba added goals. The victory moved Al Duhail into sixth place with 24 points, while Al Sailiya remained in 10th.

Qatar SC also secured a vital win at Al Thumama Stadium, defeating Al Gharafa 2-0 with goals from Musab Al Battat and Joao Pedro. Qatar SC moved to fifth spot with 27 points.

Al Gharafa, which saw Sadio Sane sent off just before halftime, remained in third place with 34 points. (QNA)
