Doha, March 11 (QNA) - The Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) announced the resumption of its local competitions starting on March 23, 2026. This step aims to gradually restore domestic sporting activity and complete the 2025–2026 season according to an organized schedule.

The QBF emphasized that the decision to resume competitions was made after continuous monitoring of the situation over the past period, and out of a commitment to ensuring the safe return of sporting activities, allowing clubs and players to fulfill their obligations in local competitions.

In this context, the Competitions Committee will hold a coordination meeting on Thursday, at the Federation's headquarters to discuss the technical and organizational arrangements for the return of the championships. The meeting will include a review of match schedules, the determination of new dates for upcoming fixtures, and discussions on mechanisms for organizing the remaining rounds to ensure that the competitions are completed within the scheduled timeframe.
