Qatar Sends Urgent Relief Aid to Lebanon
Doha, March 12 (QNA) - Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has announced urgent relief assistance to affected families following the recent military escalation in Lebanon.
In a statement, QFFD announced that the aid will be delivered through its partners Qatar Charity (QC) and the Qatar Red Crescent (QRCS), to support more than 40,500 displaced families in southern Lebanon, Beirut's southern suburbs, and parts of the Bekaa Valley.
This will be achieved through the distribution of more than 12,000 food baskets, along with a range of essential non-food items such as blankets, mattresses, hygiene supplies, diapers, and essential household items. Additionally, hygiene kits containing essential personal and household sanitation supplies will be distributed.
This intervention falls within the framework of the State of Qatar's continued commitment to supporting humanitarian and relief efforts and standing by affected communities around the world, particularly during crises and humanitarian emergencies. (QNA)
