Qatar Interior Minister Receives Several Messages of Solidarity from Counterparts

Doha, March 12 (QNA) - HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al-Thani has received a number of messages from Their Excellencies interior ministers and senior security officials from allied and friendly countries expressing solidarity with Qatar following the Iranian attack on the country.

In the messages and cables, the officials expressed their support for Qatar and their firm rejection of actions that threaten security and regional peace.

They also stressed the importance of strengthening coordination between countries to address the security challenges resulting from the attack on states in the region.

Messages of solidarity came from HE Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; HE Laurent Nunez, Minister of Interior of the French Republic; HE Matteo Piantedosi, Minister of Interior of the Italian Republic; HE Fernando Grande-Marlaska, Minister for Home Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain; HE Shabana Mahmood, Home Secretary of the United Kingdom; HE General Salvatore Luongo, Commander General of the Italian Republic's Carabinieri, and HE Dr Dieter Romann, Chief of Federal Police of the Federal Republic of Germany.

HE Sheikh Khalifa expressed his appreciation for the messages and the solidarity shown, praising the security cooperation between Qatar and its international partners and their shared commitment to maintaining security and stability in the region. (QNA)
