Riyadh, March 11 (QNA) - The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has strongly condemned an Iranian attack on fuel storage tanks at the Port of Salalah in Oman.

In a statement released Wednesday, Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi expressed the council's full solidarity with Oman in all measures it takes to safeguard its security, stability and territorial integrity.

He reiterated the GCC's firm stance rejecting and condemning any acts of aggression that threaten the security of member states, target vital facilities, or endanger citizens and residents in the region.

Earlier on Wednesday, Omani authorities announced that several drones had been shot down, while others struck fuel tanks at the Port of Salalah.

Officials said the incident caused damage but no casualties were reported. (QNA)
