Baghdad, March 01 (QNA) - Iraq has reiterated its firm position in rejecting any violations of nations' sovereignty or the use of force outside the framework of international law, calling for the immediate cessation of these attacks and a return to dialogue and diplomacy.
A statement by the Iraqi Presidency affirmed that Iraq vehemently condemns the assaults targeting Iraqi cities, as well as breaches of its territories, which are considered violations of international law and norms and a compromise of the nation's security and sovereignty.
The statement underlined that respecting nations' sovereignty and territorial integrity is a fundamental principle in international relations that can't be transgressed under any circumstances.
The path of diplomacy and dialogue is the only solution that ensures reaching outcomes that safeguard nations' security and stability and spare the region from further tension and dangerous consequences, the statement continued.
The Iraqi Presidency warned that the continuation of these assaults would lead to serious humanitarian and security implications. It called on the international community, particularly regional and international organizations, to take urgent steps to prevent further escalation and safeguard regional and international security and stability.
