Doha, March 01 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call today from HE President of the sisterly Republic of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
At the beginning of the call, HE the Turkish President expressed his reassurance regarding the situation in the State of Qatar in the aftermath of the Iranian wanton aggression, confirming Turkiye's strong condemnation of targeting the Qatari territories and those of sisterly Arab nations, as well as its flat-out rejection of anything that compromises nations' sovereignty and the security of their peoples.
For his part, HH the Amir expressed his thanks and gratitude to HE President Erdogan for his genuine brotherly sentiments, along with his show of solidarity and backing that underscore the depth of rock-solid ties between the two sisterly nations.
The call also addressed the regional developments and their consequences on peace and security, with both sides stressing the criticality of de-escalation and the ramping up of diplomatic efforts to safeguard the region's security. (QNA)
