Gaza, February 9 (QNA) - Three Palestinians were martyred and others wounded tonight in an Israeli airstrike on a residential apartment building in Gaza City.

Medical sources reported that three Palestinians, including a woman, were martyred and others wounded in an Israeli helicopter attack on an apartment building in Al Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City.

A source in the Gaza Civil Defense stated that rescue teams recovered the bodies of the deceased and transported them, along with several wounded individuals, to Al Shifa Medical Complex in western Gaza City.

Injuries were also reported from Israeli fire in the Al Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, while a fisherman was injured when Israeli gunboats opened fire on the Khan Younis beach in the southern Gaza Strip.

The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,032 martyrs and 171,661 wounded since Oct. 7, 2023.

It is worth noting that a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli occupation came into effect last October following the withdrawal of occupation forces from populated areas and sites in the Strip, but Israeli attacks on Gaza and its people continue to this day. (QNA)
