Qatar Scientific Club to Showcase Five Innovations at Middle East International Inventions Exhibition in Kuwait Tomorrow

Doha, February 07 (QNA) - The Qatar Scientific Club (QSC), affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is participating in the 16th edition of the Middle East International Inventions Exhibition, organized by the State of Kuwait from 8 to 11 February 2026. The Qatari delegation will showcase a selection of innovative projects across various scientific and technological fields.

The delegation is headed by Deputy Executive Director of the Qatar Scientific Club, Eng. Abdulrahman Saleh Khamis, includes five innovators presenting projects that reflect the high level of creativity and excellence achieved by Qatari youth.

Among the participants, innovator Hessa Mansour Al Nuaimi will present the Ultrasonic Fire Extinguishing Device, an innovative system that uses directed sound waves to extinguish flames without chemicals or water. Innovator Shahd Ahmed Al Sulaiti will showcase the Smart Helmet, a device that captures images and measures distances at the push of a button, using ultrasonic sensors and artificial intelligence to provide precise object dimensions in real environments, displayed via an electronic interface. This project is a collaborative effort between the Qatar Scientific Club and the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) under the fourth edition of the "Engineer of the Future" program, with Ashghal participating as part of the Qatari delegation.

Innovator Mohamed Hassan Al Sayed will present the Advanced Coral Reef Map, a project that uses deep learning and mathematical models to analyze underwater images and track changes in coral reefs, providing a scientific tool for monitoring reef health and supporting marine conservation efforts.

Innovator Hessa Ibrahim Al Kuwari will present the Medication Reminder Device, a smart tool that alerts patients to take their medication through audio and visual notifications, helping reduce missed doses among the elderly and chronically ill while improving adherence to treatment safely and conveniently.

Innovator Jawhara Mohamed Al Shammari will present the Drone for Monitoring Fungal Diseases in Greenhouses, which employs an intelligent unmanned aerial vehicle to monitor crops and detect infected plants early through imaging and data analysis, enabling targeted treatment.

Deputy Executive Director of the Qatar Scientific Club,Eng. Abdulrahman Saleh Khamis, said that the Club has consistently participated in this exhibition, the second largest inventions exhibition in the world, to support Qatari innovations, empower young innovators, and foster connections with inventors from other countries, particularly Gulf and Arab nations, which builds confidence and enhances their skills.

He added that the Qatar Scientific Club has a long history of awards and top rankings at this exhibition, reflecting the continuous development of the innovation process, with progress steadily aligned with time and achievements, and praised the Ministry of Sports and Youth for its support of Qatari youth and innovators.
