Doha, February 07 (QNA) - The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), in collaboration with Microsoft, has announced the launch of its "AI Agent Factory," an integrated digital platform designed to develop, manage, and deploy intelligent solutions based on AI agents, contributing to enhanced efficiency of government services and the modernization of work processes.

In a statement issued today, MOCI said the initiative forms part of its ongoing efforts to advance digital transformation, improve the efficiency of government services across all stages, and enhance the experience of both individuals and the business sector by adopting advanced technologies aligned with global best practices in artificial intelligence.

The AI Agent Factory has been developed using Microsoft technologies to enable faster and more flexible development and deployment of intelligent agents, allowing the delivery of innovative digital capabilities across a wide range of government services. The platform also supports seamless integration with internal and external systems, ensuring unified operations and consistent service experiences within MOCI and beyond.

Director of the Information Systems Department at MOCI, Ahmed Al Kuwari said the launch of the platform represents a pivotal step in the ministry's efforts to comprehensively automate and modernize government operations. He noted that leveraging advanced AI technologies will enhance operational efficiency, support decision-making, expand the scope of smart services, and improve their overall quality.

For his part, General Manager of Microsoft-Qatar, Ahmed Dandashi expressed pride in supporting MOCI's adoption of AI agent-based technologies at the national level. He emphasized that combining Microsoft's AI capabilities with the ministry's vision for next-generation government services powered by AI agents will accelerate digital transformation and deliver sustainable impact for institutions, the business sector, and society.

MOCI added that, following the completion of the platform's technical and regulatory framework, it will continue working with Microsoft to further develop and expand the capabilities of the AI Agent Factory and roll out additional AI agent-powered services in the coming period, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the country's digital transformation and government innovation goals.
