Two Killed, 40 Injured in Tram Derailment in Milan, Italy
Rome, February 27 (QNA) - Two people were killed and 40 others injured when a tram derailed in the center of Milan, Italy.
Local sources reported that the tram was one of the newest in the city, noting that one of its cars left the tracks near Milan's central station and crashed into a shop window before ambulances and civil protection teams arrived at the scene to assist the victims.
Following the incident, Milan's public transport company, ATM, announced in a statement that it had launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident, which is the first of its kind in the city in many years. (QNA)
