HH the Amir Receives Phone Call from Saudi Crown Prince

Doha, February 28 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call on Saturday from HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

During the call, they exchanged viewpoints on developments in the region amid the rapidly evolving security situation along with the consequences of the ongoing escalation and its impact on regional and international security.

They further underscored the importance of the immediate cessation of any escalatory acts and a return to the dialogue table to safeguard the security of the region and to prevent sliding into wider confrontations.

In this context, HH the Saudi Crown Prince stressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's full solidarity and standing with the State of Qatar, along with his vehement condemnation of the targeting of Qatari territories with Iranian ballistic missiles. He also affirmed the provision of all possible support to back the State of Qatar in any measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability.

For his part, HH the Amir expressed his utmost thanks and profound gratitude for the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's enduring positions and true fraternal sentiments of solidarity, as well as his unwavering support for the State of Qatar and its people.

HH the Amir also expressed his solidarity with the sisterly nations that have been targeted by the Iranian attacks, emphasizing that coordination is underway to respond to this aggression. (QNA)
