Qatar Charity Distributes Ramadan Food Baskets in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Georgia and Cote d'Ivoire
Doha, February 25 (QNA) - Qatar Charity (QC) continues to implement its "Feed the Fasting" project by distributing Ramadan food baskets in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Georgia, and Cote d'Ivoire, as part of its Ramadan campaign "Good Starts With You," and with support from donors in Qatar.
The distributions are carried out in cooperation with Qatari embassies to support underprivileged families and ease their hardships during the holy month of Ramadan.
The project supports families most in need during Ramadan by providing food baskets with essential items, ensuring enough food for the entire month.
In Pakistan, Qatar Charity distributed food baskets to more than 6,888 vulnerable people in Rawalpindi, Punjab, including women-headed families, persons with disabilities, orphans, and the elderly.
In Bangladesh, the "Feed the Fasting" project benefited 12,470 people from orphan families and underprivileged households by providing food baskets for the entire month of Ramadan.
In this context, 580 Ramadan food baskets were distributed to needy families in cooperation with the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Dhaka, as part of Qatar's ongoing humanitarian efforts.
Similarly, Qatar Charity, in cooperation with the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Tbilisi, distributed Ramadan food baskets in several areas of Georgia to support needy families during the holy month.
In Cote d'Ivoire, Qatar Charity, in cooperation with the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Abidjan, distributed Ramadan food baskets to underprivileged families. Acting Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Abidjan, Rashid bin Humaidi Al Muqarrah, took part in the distribution to 520 families, benefiting about 3,200 people, in addition to hot Iftar meals provided to the most vulnerable in West Africa.
