Commercial Bank to Redeem $500 Million in Perpetual Capital Securities

Doha, February 25 (QNA) - Commercial Bank (a Qatari public shareholding company) announced its intention to redeem $500 million perpetual additional Tier 1 (AT1) capital securities.

In a statement published on the Qatar Stock Exchange website today, the bank said it will notify securities holders of its intention to redeem the aforementioned capital securities in full by Mar. 9, 2026.

The redemption will be at 100% of the principal amount, plus any accrued and unpaid interest up to the redemption date, in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.

The statement clarified that upon completion of the full redemption, the securities will be cancelled, and no further payments will be due on them. (QNA)
