Palestinian Martyred from Wounds Sustained in Israeli Airstrike on Gaza
Gaza, February 20 (QNA) - A Palestinian man was martyred on Friday from wounds he sustained in an earlier Israeli bombardment of northern Gaza, medical sources in the enclave said.
The sources reported that the man succumbed to injuries he had suffered in a previous Israeli airstrike targeting a residential project in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.
Earlier in the day, medical sources also said that a child was shot and wounded by Israeli forces in Halawa camp in Jabalia, northern Gaza.
In a separate development, medical teams recovered the body of a Palestinian man who had been martyred by Israeli fire several days ago near Salah Al-Din Street in the Netzarim area of central Gaza.
The total number of martyrs since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip in October 2023 has risen to 72,069, with 171,728 others injured, according to medical authorities in Gaza.
Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out airstrikes and artillery shelling across various parts of the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10, resulting so far in the martyrdom of 611 Palestinians and the injury of approximately 1,630 others. (QNA)
