Damascus, February 15 (QNA) - The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that it has taken control of Al-Shaddadi Military Base in the country's northeast, following coordination with US forces.

In a statement, the ministry said army units received Al-Shaddadi Military Base in the countryside of Al-Hasakah after coordination with the US side.

US forces had been stationed at the base as part of the international coalition against ISIS.
A few days earlier, the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that army units had also taken control of Al-Tanf Military Base after the departure of US forces. (QNA)
