Qatari Referees to Work Multiple AFC Champions League Matches
Doha, February 15 (QNA) - Qatari referees are set to take part in officiating several matches in the AFC Champions League for elite teams and the AFC Champions League 2 as part of referee assignments across the region.
Among the appointments, a Qatari team will oversee the clash between Buriram United of Thailand and Shanghai of China in Thailand on Tuesday, with international referee Abdulrahman Al Jassim leading the crew. Other matches include Melbourne (Australia) vs. Jeonju (South Korea) on Wednesday, with a Qatari refereeing team led by international official Mohammed Al Shammari.
In Sharjah, Qatari referee Mishari Al Shammari will serve on the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team for the match between Sharjah (UAE) and Nasaf Qarshi (Uzbekistan).
In the AFC Champions League 2, Abdulrahman Abdo from Qatar will act as the referee assessor for the Saudi Al Nassr vs. Arkadag (Turkmenistan) game in Riyadh next Wednesday. (QNA)
