Doha, February 14 (QNA) - The 14th edition of the "Arabian Woman Exhibition" kicked off at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), under the patronage of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum at the Qatar Chamber.
Running until Wednesday, the exhibition features 200 booths representing more than 140 Qatari entrepreneurs, alongside exhibitors from the Gulf states, Morocco, Turkiye, Lebanon, Egypt, Pakistan, India and France.
Following the opening ceremony of the 14th edition of the expo, Ibtihaj Al Ahmadani, Qatar Chamber Board Member and Chairwoman of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum, toured the exhibition and reviewed the latest designs, accessories, and products presented by Qatari and international fashion designers.
She noted that the event has developed significantly over the years, becoming a distinguished platform that showcases Arab creativity, beauty, and elegance, while reflecting the growing role of women in business and trade. She emphasised that the continued organisation of the exhibition underscores its success and its leading position as a platform for women's initiatives, entrepreneurial projects, national products, and partnership-building opportunities.
Al Ahmadani highlighted Qatar's strong commitment, under the wise leadership, to empowering women and expanding their participation across various sectors. She stressed that women are key partners in achieving sustainable development and building a diversified, knowledge- and innovation-based economy.
She also affirmed the Chamber's commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs through platforms that enable them to showcase their products, develop their businesses, and access new local and regional markets.
She further underlined that the exhibition represents an important opportunity to highlight the potential of Arab women, exchange expertise and successful experiences, and promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
This year's edition, she added, presents a diverse collection blending modernity and authenticity, offering promising prospects for designers to explore new markets and strengthen their marketing and communication skills.
She also stressed the Qatari Businesswomen Forum's ongoing efforts to remove obstacles facing creative women and help them transform their ideas into sustainable business ventures.
For her part, Tamader Al Marri, Director of the organising company, said highlighted the 14th edition's remarkable growth, with participation from 12 countries across the Gulf, Asia, Africa, and Europe. She noted that this broad participation reflects the strong confidence the exhibition enjoys as a global platform bringing together women entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity and innovations under one roof.
She noted the exhibition features the latest fashion and women's accessories, especially for the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr, aiming to provide a valuable experience and foster partnerships and investments.
Al Marri praised the support of the Qatar Businesswomen Forum at the Qatar Chamber, emphasising the important role of Qatari businesswomen in the national economy. (QNA)
