Qatari Talal Al Marri Wins Gold Medal on Fourth Day of International Friendship Bowling Championship
Doha, February 13 (QNA) - Qatari bowler Talal Al Marri won the gold medal in the overall youth ranking competition on the fourth day of the 14th International Friendship Bowling Championship, organized by the Qatar Bowling Federation.
The championship, held at the federation's bowling alley under the slogan "Bringing Nations Together Through the Spirit of Bowling," concludes on Saturday, with the participation of 112 players (64 men and 48 women) representing youth national teams from 13 countries.
Al Marri secured the gold medal after topping the overall ranking with a total score of 4287 points, ahead of Czech Jaroslav Zapletal, who finished second with 4249 points and won the silver medal.
Singapore's Jaiden C. finished third with 4206 points, winning the bronze medal, while the Czech Republic's Adam Hacsa came in fourth with 4191 points, also winning a bronze.
In the junior women's category, Malaysia's Azhar Koratwan won the gold medal in the overall standings after finishing first with a total of 3838 points.
Sweden's Elin Bargfest won the silver medal after finishing second with 3812 points, while Singapore's Lim Chian took the bronze medal after finishing third with 3807 points. Japan's Mio Nakashia also won a bronze medal after finishing fourth with 3788 points.
In the team competition, the Czech Republic's Adam Hacca, Vit Jerest, David Mojka, and Jaroslav Zapletal, competing in the junior category, secured first place and the gold medal with a total of 5662 points across the six rounds.
The Malaysian team, comprised of Damian Ethan, Hafiz Muhammad, Zarif Akram Muhammad, and Ayman Muhammad, finished second, earning the silver medal with 5543 points.
The Singaporean team, consisting of Brian Ngawa, Chua Afyal, Jaiden Si, and Ayman Raidin, took third place with 5530 points, winning the bronze medal. The Swedish team, featuring Kevin Westen, Eskil Lund, Maniel Lairis, and Erik Larsson, finished fourth with 5412 points, also claiming a bronze medal.
In the junior women's team category, the Malaysian team, comprised of Adriana Antan, Natalie Chong, Nur Syakira, and Azhar Kuratwan, secured first place with 5311 points across six rounds, winning the gold medal.
The Philippine team, consisting of Cassandra Deniz, Pauline Gaili, Grace Ann Hernandez, and Antoinette Garcia, finished second with 4991 points, earning the silver medal.
The Czech team, made up of Viktorija Prokozova, Juli Rakova, and Zuzana Kvasnikova, took third place with 4879 points, earning the bronze medal.
The Japanese team, comprised of Mio Nakashio, Hina Fujita, Mao Kondoh, and Kiri Watanabe, finished fourth with 4791 points, also winning the bronze medal.
At the conclusion of the competition, Abdullah Haroun Al Jassim, Chairman of the Competitions Committee, and Salem Al Marzouqi, a member of the Board of Directors, presented the awards to the winners. (QNA)
