Doha, February 13 (QNA) - The second day of the 13th Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ), held at Katara Cultural Village, witnessed a large public turnout from various segments of society, reflecting the growing interest in the agricultural sector and food security issues.

The exhibition saw a remarkable presence of families, enthusiasts, and professionals who flocked to the various pavilions to learn about the latest innovations in the agricultural field and benefit from the accompanying awareness programs. This reflects the exhibition's success in combining production, education, and entertainment within a comprehensive framework.

In the same context, the first Arab Forum for Agricultural Statistical Data, held over two days as part of the exhibition, concluded its work after dialogue sessions and a rich exchange of ideas and experiences among decision-makers, experts, and specialists in the agricultural and statistical fields.

The forum discussed the role of modern technologies in supporting agricultural decision-making, enhancing food security, and accelerating digital transformation in this vital sector.

The forum also served as a specialized platform for improving the quality of agricultural data, supporting evidence-based policies, and enhancing regional integration in agricultural statistics.

This was achieved through sessions addressing statistics and decision support, digital transformation and investment, food loss and waste, and data and sustainable development.

The mini zoo, set up as part of the exhibition, attracted a large number of families, offering children and their parents an educational and entertaining experience to learn about various animals and birds, thus contributing to increased environmental and agricultural awareness.

The fruit and vegetable market and the honey and date market also drew significant visitor interest, showcasing high-quality local produce that reflects the diversity of national production and supports efforts to enhance self-sufficiency.

The farmers' market witnessed a large turnout, with many visitors purchasing local agricultural products directly from producers.

This support strengthens the national farmer's position, reinforces the concept of sustainability, and contributes to stimulating the agricultural economy.

The Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ) continues to achieve successes by attracting various segments of society and providing an integrated platform that combines display, education and knowledge exchange, thus enhancing its position as one of the most prominent national events supporting the agricultural sector and food security in the State of Qatar.
