Doha, February 11 (QNA) - The State of Qatar, represented by the General Authority for Retirement and Social Insurance (Daman), will participate in the extraordinary meeting of the Committee of Heads of Civil Retirement and Social Insurance Agencies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, scheduled to be held on Thursday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The Qatari delegation to the meeting is headed by HE Director General of the General Authority for Retirement and Social Insurance (Daman) Ahmed bin Ali Al Hammadi.

The extraordinary meeting will discuss and adopt the action plan of the Committee of Heads of Civil Retirement and Social Insurance Agencies for the period (2026-2030).

This plan aims to enhance coordination and institutional integration among the GCC agencies, support the sustainability of their systems, and develop joint work mechanisms to achieve better protection of the retirement and insurance rights of GCC citizens.

The participation of (Daman) in this extraordinary meeting comes as a confirmation of its active role in the joint Gulf action system, and its keenness to contribute to formulating the future strategic directions of civil retirement and social insurance systems, in a way that enhances social and economic stability, and supports the paths of sustainable development in the GCC countries.
